Question 1

What is Trans Vent Spiral Tubing?

Accepted Answer

Trans Vent Spiral Tubing is an Australian manufacturer of spiral-welded ducting and piping products, based in Penrith, NSW and Sunnybank Hills, QLD. We supply round and oval spiral duct, steel duct fittings and accessories, spiral welded pipe, spiral pier liners, void formers, grout tube, and stainless steel pickling and passivation services.

Question 2

What products do you manufacture?

Accepted Answer

Our range includes spiral lockseam ductwork (round and oval, smooth and corrugated profiles), spiral welded pipe (mild steel, stainless steel and 3CR), pipe spooling and custom steel fabrication, ductwork fittings and accessories, steel pier liners/spiral piers for bored pier holes, void formers for the precast concrete industry, anti-climb barrel for correctional facilities, grout tube for post-tensioned slabs and beams, stainless steel pickling and passivation, and tube and pipe profiling using an autonomised 6-axis plasma/oxy CNC pipe profiling machine.

Question 3

Can our ductwork/pier liners be custom made to length?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all of our pier liners and ductwork is manufactured in-house at both our Penrith, NSW and Sunnybank Hills, QLD branches. Whilst we keep a large array of stock lengths, we have the capability to manufacture to the length your project requires.

Question 4

What type of insulated duct do you manufacture?

Accepted Answer

Our typical ductwork with insulation supplied is internally insulated with a perforated inner and solid outer duct. Typical acoustic insulation is a polyester wool that improves thermal efficiency and acoustic performance, ideal for HVAC systems in commercial or noise-sensitive spaces. Alternative insulation such as rockwool is commonly used for items like exhaust flues where the ductwork will be exposed to high temperatures.

Question 5

What materials do you work with?

Accepted Answer

We work primarily with Z275 galvanised steel, mild steel, 304 and 316 stainless steel, and aluminium. With in-house manufacturing, we can tailor material choice to your project.

Question 6

What industries and project types do you supply?

Accepted Answer

We supply HVAC and industrial contractors, builders, and construction firms across commercial, civil infrastructure and large-scale development projects. Our products have been used on projects including shopping centre extensions, hospitals, stadiums, airports, and tunnel infrastructure.
